Cost Estimating & Variance Analysis Specialist (Syteline ERP)

At Cutting Dynamics, LLC in Avon, Ohio—backed by Re:Build Manufacturing’s engineering, operations, and technology platform—you’ll help connect the factory floor to the P&L, informing pricing, profitability, and investment choices across the business.

Your mission

Reporting to the Site Controller, you will partner with manufacturing operations, supply chain, engineering, sales, and business development to make cost data actionable. You’ll analyze current product costs, evaluate job profitability, and guide a transformation as we implement Infor CloudSuite Industrial (Syteline ERP) and transition from Standard Costing to Actual Costing.

What success looks like

• Accurate, current standard costs that reflect materials, labor, and overhead.
• Clear visibility into process cost drivers and data-backed recommendations that improve efficiency.
• Robust estimates and pricing models for major customer quote packages and LTAs.
• Timely variance reporting—material usage, labor efficiency, overhead absorption—with crisp root-cause analysis.
• Flawless support for monthly, quarterly, and annual close related to inventory and cost accounting.
• Reliable budgets and forecasts for COGS and manufacturing expenses.
• Inventory valuation that’s precise and compliant with accounting standards.
• Aligned cost assumptions across engineering, operations, and sales to support strategy.
• Repeatable processes, smarter tooling, and automation (including AI) that raise the bar on analysis and reporting.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience; contract manufacturing exposure is a plus.
• Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency; Syteline experience is a plus.
• Detail-driven, analytical, and adept at communicating insights to diverse audiences.
• Strong grounding in standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
• Track record of producing high-quality, decision-ready analysis.
