Required Qualifications
US Citizen
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in:
Program Management, or
Supply Chain Management, or
Financial Analysis, or
Cost Accounting, or
Cost Estimating.
High level of self-initiative and bias for action.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including superior Excel proficiency.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Position Summary
Prepare cost estimates for Landing Gear product manufacturing, engineering projects, and services to support pricing decisions, bids, and contract negotiations.
Develop proposals and financial analyses for development, production, and spare-part quotes.
Provide accurate cost estimating information and proposal support for customer fact-finding activities.
Work independently to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and complete a high volume of proposals accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
Create proposal pricing models and analyses in Microsoft Excel.
Compile and analyze bills of material, purchase-order data, supplier quotes, manufacturing routings, and overhead rates.
Develop and maintain supporting proposal documentation in accordance with customer requirements.
Reconcile prior-year financial estimates with forward-looking proposal estimates.
Document proposal assumptions and cost-estimating methodologies.
Prepare financial return analyses, termination and liability analyses, and expenditure analyses.
Produce written proposal summaries outlining assumptions, risks, and benefits.
Coordinate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Program Management, and other global sites to gather and analyze data.
Provide margin analysis to support customer negotiations.
Support customer and government auditor fact-finding inquiries.
Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives to enhance cost-estimating efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an Aerospace/Government manufacturing contracting environment.
Experience with SAP.
