Cost Estimator
These are the must haves that we need in a candidate:
- 5+ years of engineering experience with automotive stampings or welded assemblies
- 3+ years of estimating experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Good knowledge of computer software; estimation programs, database (CDB), CAD (Visi), office (Excel)
Additional Details:
- Reports to Manager Cost Estimation Manager
- Initiate estimation downstream activities and ensure a timely response
- Develop the cost structure and manage contents to prepare an offer in conjunction with the individual specialist departments
- Evaluating engineering changes with regard to feasability and cost.
- Verifying enquiry documents with respect to producibility
- Optimal method planning on the basis of state-of-the-art manufacturing and simulation programs in the agreed time in accordance with the current Process Development workflow
- Realization and reporting of the project tasks according to PDP
- Storing relevant documents in CIM DATABASE, according to the workflow
- Supporting development/design to ensure production-ready and cost-optimized product design
- Supporting project/customer teams in local region and abroad with regard to cost model
- Participate in the development of the KA standards for his/her department
- Competent contact for other departments such as with Sales, PM, PD & CME with regards to cost estimation items
