Are you hard wired to do things right the first time and pay attention to every detail? Is your brain wired toanalyze information like blueprints and spreadsheets to pull out key elements or spot potential discrepancies?If that sounds like you, you might just be the one we've been searching for. We're looking for aCostEstimator that can work closely with clients, architects, subcontractors, and vendors to properly cost theexecution of our premier residential construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of exceptional homes and be a vital part of a company that values excellence, continuous improvement, and its people. The ideal candidate will have great analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate to multiple audiences.In the role you will:
- Bring your3-5 years of estimating experience to support a team of skilled designers and construction professionals. If you have a degree in construction management or already know your way around high-end residential construction, that will ensure your quick success. If you don'tcome with those credentials, but you possess the foundational skills and the right mindsettolearn quickly, we could bea great place to learn and grow.
- Use your eye for details to analyze blueprints, specifications, and scope documents to create accurate material and labor cost estimates.
- Use your acquired skills of estimating software and tools to ensure adherence to project plans, schedules, internal quality standards, and building codes.
- Applyyour excellent organization, time management skills and sense of urgency to ensure projects stay on track.
- Contribute directlyto project success by preparing and sending requests for quotes, tracking and organizing the information as it comes in, inputting pricing and then following up to generate clear, professional proposals.
- Use strong communication skills to serve as a key onsite point of contact onall pricing requests and questions from team members in sales, design, and project management.
