If you are a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional who excels at translating complex data into actionable insights that drive cost leadership within an extremely reputable, stable Fortune 500 company — let’s talk!

Position Overview

We are seeking a Cost Optimization Lead to play a critical role in driving cost reduction initiatives across product groups within Resource Industries, fully on-site in Irving, TX (5 days per week). This position focuses on identifying and executing savings opportunities using strategic tools such as should-cost analysis, order quantity optimization, similar part analysis, and multi-source arbitrage. • Build and maintain dashboards to monitor project and program health; identify trends in data and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Prepare clear, concise executive-ready reports and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI — highlighting risks, savings opportunities, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and category groups to implement cost-saving initiatives and drive process improvements.
  • Manage projects and deliverables; track progress and communicate status clearly to stakeholders.

Team Structure & Work Environment

  • You will work within a team of five, with frequent collaboration across product and category groups. Depending on project scope and complexity, you may partner with a senior lead on the team.

  • Internship experience may be counted toward the required years of experience. Comparable backgrounds include roles in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical engineering.
