Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), Long-Term Care, Medicaid, Medicare, Occupational Therapy, Regulations, Treatment Plan
Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Salary Range: $23 - $32 per hour; Full-time Repsonsibilites: - Responsible for providing skilled occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupation Therapist (OT). The COTA supports participants in maintaining independence, and improving functional abilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Provide therapeutic interventions focused on activities of daily living (ADL) functional mobility and transfers and cognitive and perceptual skills.
- Monitor and document participant progress and communicate changes.
Requirements: - Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Minimum of one-year experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
- One year of experience with frail elderly population in acute, long term care, or community based setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and PACE regulations (preferred).
