Responsible for providing skilled occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupation Therapist (OT). The COTA supports participants in maintaining independence, and improving functional abilities
Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT)
Provide therapeutic interventions focused on activities of daily living (ADL) functional mobility and transfers and cognitive and perceptual skills.
Monitor and document participant progress and communicate changes.
Requirements:
Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Minimum of one-year experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
One year of experience with frail elderly population in acute, long term care, or community based setting (preferred).
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and PACE regulations (preferred).
