Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. This role plays a key part in helping residents regain independence and improve quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy treatments as directed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Follow physician treatment plans and established care goals
  • Document daily treatments, weekly progress notes, and all required therapy records
  • Communicate patient progress and concerns with the interdisciplinary team
  • Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education
  • Train nursing staff and restorative aides as needed
  • Participate in facility in-service training programs
  • Maintain clean and safe treatment areas and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all state practice acts and regulatory standards

Qualifications

  • Current COTA license in South Carolina (required, in good standing)
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
  • Knowledge of PointClickCare and Casamba preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
