About the Role:Hands Plus Physical Therapy is looking for a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team in Santa Clarita, CA! Responsibilities:- Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Provide direct patient care focused on improving daily living skills, fine motor function, and upper extremity rehabilitation
- Document patient progress, treatment notes, and goal updates accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the OT and interdisciplinary team to adjust and progress patient care plans
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive strategies
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming therapy environment
- Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and clinic initiatives
Requirements:- Active COTA licensure in the state of California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current NBCOT certification in good standing
- Experience in an outpatient orthopedic or hand therapy setting is a plus
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented clinic environment
- Minimum 2 years' experience
