Job Summary
Job Summary
The Counseling Services Director (CSD), as a member of the site leadership team, is responsible for providing leadership and coordination of a comprehensive school counseling program that supports learners academic, social-emotional, attendance, college and career, and postsecondary success. The CSD is responsible for personal, academic, attendance, college and career, and vocational counseling, while fostering learner agency and supporting individualized planning aligned with the district s competency-based learning model. The CSD collaborates with administrators, educators, families, and community partners to promote equitable access to college and career pathways, work-based learning opportunities, dual enrollment, industry certifications, and other experiences that prepare learners to be engaged, empowered, and future-ready. The CSD also has primary responsibility for the development, coordination, and supervision of special projects, pathway development, 10-year plans, senior recognition, and other responsibilities assigned by the principal or designee.

Education/Credentialing: California Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling, School Social Work, or Psychology, OR an Administrative Services Credential is required. Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible experience in education, including administrative or supervisory experience preferred. Valid California Driver's License. Tuberculosis clearance. Criminal justice fingerprint clearance.
