Under the immediate supervision of a supervisor or Unit Director performs assigned therapy and skills training services.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:- Interviews consumers, their relatives, and other interested individuals and agencies to obtain social and developmental histories to discover social/psychological problems.
- Performs therapeutic treatment with consumers or relatives of consumers, under supervision of the Unit Director or Supervisor in consultation with a psychiatrist or other physician.
- Participates as a team member in conferences designed for the diagnosis and treatment of consumers.
- Participates in the interpretation of methods and procedures to agencies responsible for carrying out recommendations of the clinic.
- May supervise other therapists, volunteers, and students.
- Acts as liaison between all appropriate agencies, physicians, relatives of consumers and community resources for purposes of admission, treatment, and discharge planning.
- May participate in budget planning, unit administration, and program development.
- Increase knowledge of Psychotherapeutic and social work concepts by attendance at work related to outside conferences and seminars whenever possible.
- Performs related work as required.
Education:
A master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field from an accredited school. License preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Considerable knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of therapy and social work, the functioning of social service or treatment facility of community resources and how to use them effectively. Ability to learn about and implement trauma-informed care practices within the scope of work for the position.

Salary: $48,150-$52,965 LPHA-A Salary $23.1490 - $25.4639 Hourly *Depending on Experience*
$64,000 LPHA Salary $30.7692 LPHA hourly *Depending on Licensure *
