SUMMARYPerforms a full range of academic personal career and transfer counseling activities with diverse student populations. These include but are not limited to assisting college students which may include College Credit Plus students in developing academic and career goals creating and developing educational academic plans to degreecertificate completion andor transfer identifying and developing strategies and skills for adapting to the educational environment and providing academic counseling to students in academic curriculum areas. Assists with New Student Orientations by providing individual academic counseling appointments and New Student Orientation presentations. May provide crisis intervention. May teach General Studies courses and student success workshops as needed.When teaching credit and non-credit coursesPrepares and delivers lectures or learning activities to students on various topics in order to achieve certain outcomesPrepares course materials such as syllabi homework assignments and handoutsEvaluates and grades students class work laboratory work assignments and papersMaintains student attendance records grades and other recordsBe available to students for coachingPeriodic meetings with supervisors division or College relative to teaching duties and training and development
