Counter Person/Cashier

About the Role:
Pizza Gourmet Restaurant in Mamaroneck, NY is looking for a friendly and energetic FULL TIME - Counter Person/Cashier to join our team! This is a great opportunity to be the face of our restaurant, delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, welcoming environment. Experience is preferred, willing to train. Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers at the counter with a positive, professional attitude
• Accurately take and process customer orders in a timely manner
• Handle cash, credit, and digital transactions using a POS system
• Maintain a clean and organized counter and front-of-house area
• Communicate orders clearly to kitchen staff to ensure accuracy
• Assist with food packaging and order preparation as needed
• Address customer questions, concerns, and special requests efficiently

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a restaurant, food service, or retail cashier role preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system accurately
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays is a plus
