Counter Service Cashier

Cashier – Picco 

The cashier is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming guest experience whilst providing exceptional guest service at the front counter. Team members will accurately take to-go orders, process payments, and hand out items with a positive impression of Picco’s commitment to quality, hospitality, and community.   

Key Responsibilities  

• Demonstrate hospitality in every interaction with guests, staff, and anyone entering the restaurant. 

• Greet guests warmly and provide outstanding customer service. 

• Take to-go orders accurately using the Toast POS system. 

• Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, specials, and allergens.  

• Process cash, credit cards, and digital payments efficiently and accurately.  

• Serve gelato and assist guests with flavor selections and recommendations.  

• Package takeout orders carefully and verify order accuracy before handing them off to guests or delivery drivers.  

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front counter, gelato display, front entry, and bathrooms. 

• Restock supplies, cups, lids, napkins, or any FOH/to-go needs.  

• Assist with opening, daily, and closing cleaning duties. 

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company standards.
