ABOUT THE ROLE

A global financial institution is seeking a senior technology operations leader to oversee production stability, resilience, and continuous improvement for business-critical counterparty credit risk platforms. This role supports systems used for exposure calculation, limit monitoring, risk reporting, intraday analysis, and regulatory reporting workflows.

This is a Director-level leadership position for someone who can combine people management, hands-on technical credibility, operational discipline, and risk technology domain expertise. • Lead incident, problem, change, and release management across critical risk technology systems
  • Drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes for recurring production issues
  • Define and improve operational KPIs, including availability, MTTR, SLA breaches, reruns, and batch success rates
  • Strengthen offshore support effectiveness through runbooks, documentation, escalation paths, and ownership models
  • Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to improve observability, alerting, automation, and resilience
  • Support audit, regulatory, security, access, change, data integrity, and control requirements
  • Lead operational improvements across batch monitoring, data validation, reconciliations, and recovery processes

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 15+ years of IT Operations or Production Support experience within financial services
  • 5+ years in a Director-level or equivalent leadership role supporting risk, exposure, trading, or similar platforms
  • Strong people management experience across global, offshore, or distributed teams
  • Domain knowledge in counterparty credit risk, exposure management, derivatives, market data, limits, collateral, margin, stress testing, or risk reporting
  • Hands-on technical background with SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, and Python
  • Experience supporting batch-intensive and intraday platforms in regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of incident management, problem management, change governance, release controls, and SLA management
  • Ability to communicate clearly with senior business, risk, and technology stakeholders
  • Bachelor s degree required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • ITIL, cloud, DevOps, Agile, or reliability engineering certifications
  • Experience with Java, Angular, PySpark, ETL, stored procedures, Azure, ADF, Spark, PowerBI, or Medallion architecture
  • Experience with ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, and KPI dashboards
  • DR/BCP testing experience for critical production systems
  • Exposure to model governance, audit, regulatory exams, or control maturity reviews

How We Work
  • Metrics-driven operating model focused on production stability and measurable improvement
  • Strong partnership across business, risk, technology, engineering, infrastructure, and offshore teams
  • Emphasis on automation, documentation, runbook maturity, and operational simplification
  • High-accountability environment where production issues must be communicated clearly and resolved permanently
  • Continuous improvement mindset with focus on reducing risk, manual effort, and recurring incidents
