Operates company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages; to check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service; Provides related customer service functions. Minimum ExperienceNone Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance. Job ConditionsNeat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. There are specific requirements for any employee that operates a company vehicle. Please refer to policy 4-48 for exact job requirements.FMCSA covered safety sensitive position. Medical exam required.
