Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00a-5:00pm

Salary: $17.38/hr.

Competencies:

Knowledge of how to handle materials safely, such as food or chemicals; familiarity with using navigation systems; time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule; excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving; ability to load and unload heavy cargo and use any machinery or equipment necessary to help; strong customer service and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide delivery and pick up of mail and other items including supplies to all of Oaks Programs (Locations include offices, group homes, day programs, vendors offices, other locations as needed, etc)

  • Interacts with internal and external customers in a positive and courteous manner

  • Pick up, transport, and deliver items to and from various customer locations (including holiday cookies to police and fire departments, leadership gifts, PPE Supplies from vendors, mail at UPS, bank deposits, signatures when needed, etc.)

  • Pull or stock inventory of PPE Supplies at office location as needed.

  • Establishes rapport and interacts with staff in a manner which builds positive business relationships

  • Maintains logs or other reports for adequate documentation of courier transactions

  • Uses good judgment to prioritize tasks and responds to requests in the most effective timely manner

  • Prepares standard vehicle maintenance schedule

  • Keeps a documentation record for company vehicle

  • Ensures proper utilization of time to complete daily assignments

  • Drives with Caution, care and respect for others on the road following all regulations

  • Maintains an excellent driving record and drives defensively

  • Performs work in accordance to safety codes and any regulatory agency requirements

  • Keeps work location clear

  • Faxes reports and/or mail reports when appropriate

  • Performs stat pickups and deliveries as needed- Prioritizes immediate needs

  • Maintains appearance of vehicle to established protocols, monitors gauges for fluid level etc; and reports any service needed

  • May perform other department specific duties as time allows and as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required;

  • Valid driver's license in good standing required with safe driving skills required
