Role Summary:

The Courier reports to the Facilities Manager/Team Leader. This position provides general and special deliveries to the credit union’s facilities and grounds as assigned by Facilities Manager/Team Leader. Responsible for ensuring credit union deliveries are always kept confidential and secure. Performs secure credit union outgoing mail services while meeting appropriate postal and delivery deadlines.

 


What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Operate a motor vehicle for the purpose of transporting mail, supplies and documents to and from branches
  2. Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as approved by supervisor. Maintain awareness of regulations related to courier duties and responsibilities
  3. Complete all daily tasks in a prompt and efficient manner
  4. The pickup and delivery of material and documents in a polite, resourceful, and professional manner
  5. Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism Consistently display respect for all areas of diversity and levels of knowledge
  6. Keep supervisor advised of status of all major incidents as well as concerns
  7. Ensure vehicle is kept in operational condition by maintaining fuel and verify all maintenance is kept up to date
  8. Process credit union outgoing mail and parcels securely and within prescribed timeframes
  9. Must understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities
  10. Maintain primary storage areas, transport boxes and supplies from storage area to credit union branches and departments

 

About You:

  1. Possess and maintain a thorough knowledge of courier service required to sustain credit union facilities
  2. Working indoors in a professional atmosphere
  3. Working outdoors in inclemental conditions to include extreme temperatures both hot and cold
  4. Valid driver’s license with experience in driving under adverse conditions and the ability to fuel, check fluids and maintain a clean vehicle
  5. Work well in a team environment
  6. Be computer literate with a working knowledge of Micro Soft Word, Outlook and Excel
  7. Display mutual respect, trust and dignity, acting in the best interest of the credit union. Lead by example by displaying solid ethics and integrity at all times. Control risk and manage operations in a safe and sound manner
  8. Effectively communicate ideas and information
  9. Possess and display excellent customer service attributes

Qualifications


What You Will Need:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. One (1) to three (3) years of similar or related experience
  3. Demonstrate and sustain interpersonal skills to relate effectively and professionally to members, the public, and colleagues
  4. Some travel will be required to fulfill duties, career development, and responsibilities

Salary Range:

$17.13-$22.92

*While the full earning scale is listed above, Gesa starts our team members at $20.00/hour for this position.
