Continuing & Professional Education (CPE) at Parsons offers non-degree programs for adult and K-12 students in art and design disciplines. Currently over 400 courses serve students of varying ages (youth, teen, and adult) and pathways (certificate, non-degree credit, online learning) in the fall, spring and summer semesters.
This position will assist in teaching and learning in a class environment for students ranging from Grades 3-12 as well as adult learners through non-instructional activities. The Course Assistant reports to the Assistant Director of Operations and Planning, Pre-College and Summer Programs.
Course Assistants are expected to work the following days in a support role for a teacher. Candidates can choose to work one or more sessions in the summer. Work schedule will be finalized upon hiring.
Summer Intensive Studies I (In-Person):
Monday, June 8 Friday, June 26, 2026
Monday through Friday (no class June 19)
9:00 am-4:00 pm ET (6 hours of paid time with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)
Summer Intensive Studies II (In-Person):
Monday, July 6 Friday, July 24, 2026

Summer Academy for Grades 3-12 (In-Person):
Monday, July 27 Friday, August 7, 2026

Responsibilities include:
On-Campus Position Employees in this position are expected to work on-campus during regularly scheduled work hours due to the nature of the work being that which is not feasible, or not in the best interest of the organization, to be performed remotely.
Rate: $25.13/hour
