SALARY:

 

$74,000 - $83,000 per year. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

RVU offers a full benefits package that includes 401(k), Health, Dental and Vision insurance, along with 2 weeks (minimum) accrued paid vacation days per year, 12 accrued sick days per year, personal days, 13 ½ paid holidays and 401(K) match up to 7% based on employee’s contribution.

Primary Purpose:

The Year 1 Course Coordinator plays a critical role in the successful delivery of foundational, team-taught courses. This individual ensures seamless coordination among faculty, supports instructional technology, oversees course assessments, and leverages data analytics to monitor student performance and identify trends. They maintain high standards of course organization and communication while regularly reporting key insights, course outcomes, and student performance metrics to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Coordinate all Year 1 team-taught courses, ensuring alignment of content, assessments, and learning outcomes.
  • Schedule and facilitate regular faculty meetings to promote collaboration and consistency.
  • Build and maintain course sites on Canvas, including uploading materials, managing modules, and ensuring accessibility.
  • Serve as a liaison between faculty, administration, and support staff.
  • Coordinate and administer assessments, including ExamSoft configuration, exam formatting, and reporting assessment outcomes to faculty and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
  • Track and evaluate student academic progress, facilitating collaborative review discussions with faculty and staff to support student success.
  • Track and communicate important course deadlines and deliverables.
  • Provide logistical support for in-class and online activities.
  • Monitor student feedback and collaborate with faculty to implement improvements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Background in education, instructional design, or academic administration
  • Apply advanced analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau) to solve complex business challenges.
  • Leverage data analytics to identify trends, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing equality, diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and maintains discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in education, business administration, instructional technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional office, academic, administrative, or educational support environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in education, business administration, instructional technology, or a related field
  • Experience coordinating projects, schedules, meetings, or academic/course operations
  • Experience working with learning management systems (such as Canvas) and/or testing platforms (such as ExamSoft)
