The Second Judicial District is accepting applications for a Court Operations Associate position in the Civil Division of Ramsey County District Court, 15 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul, MN 55102. This position is a critical role that requires advanced court clerical work, including handling various types of civil and probate cases, such as Major and Minor civil cases, Guardianship/Conservatorships, and Estates. The position will be primarily focused on providing customer service in person and over the phone along with other assigned responsibilities.
Under the supervision of a Civil Division Supervisor, this position involves performing varied clerical tasks using electronic filing systems and paper processes, providing in-courtroom support, processing filings, and responding to customer requests, while maintaining high levels of customer service, data entry, and technical skills.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage competing demands simultaneously, with a strong ability to provide sound judgment and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions
This position provides a high volume of customer service in-person at the service counter and over the phone. Work involves contact with persons who may be confused, upset, angry, abusive, or threatening. Work may involve exposure to calls and case records that may be disturbing.
Physical Demands
Work is essentially sedentary with occasional walking, standing, bending, and carrying items up to 25 pounds. Some assignments may require periods of extended sitting, standing, or computer use.
Rate of Pay
The expected hiring range for this position for external candidates is $22.50-$23.50/hour based on qualifications and experience.
