Beaverton Municipal Court is hiring a Court Operations Supervisor to help oversee daily operations of one of the busiest municipal courts in the State of Oregon. If you have experience in a court, legal, or other criminal justice setting, are a supportive and people-focused leader, and thrive in a fast-paced workplace where no two days are alike, please apply!

The Court Operations Supervisor is part of a three-person leadership team (a Court Administrator and two Supervisors) that provides day-to-day support for the Court’s employees and operations. Beaverton Municipal Court and its staff process approximately 1,700 misdemeanors and 30,000 violations each year. A typical week for a supervisor will include training and coaching employees, filling in for an absence in the courtroom, preparing budget or billing documents, working with a customer in person or on the phone to answer a tricky question or meet a complicated need, and coordinating with other city departments including Beaverton Police Department and the City Attorney’s Office.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has excellent organizational skills and can keep track of changing daily priorities in a busy environment.
  • Can remain cool under pressure and provide support to employees and customers when emotions run high.
  • Has experience in a court, legal, or other criminal justice setting, and is excited to learn the ins and outs of Beaverton’s Municipal Court.
  • Is skilled at managing sensitive and confidential information.
  • Has experience supervising or managing employees, and is a collaborative leader who shows flexibility and creativity in problem-solving.
  • Communicates thoughtfully and skillfully with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.

This is a full-time, exempt, Management 2 (M2) position. Due to the operational nature of this position, the Court Operations Supervisor is expected to work primarily in-person at the Court, Monday-Friday. There is one vacancy.

Please click APPLY to submit your application via the City of Beaverton’s online portal. You will need to enter your work history and respond to several supplemental questions. Your education, skills, and experience will be evaluated using the information you provide in the application and supplemental questions.
