    Minimum Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED. Three years of experience processing legal/public records and/or performing courtroom/public hearing procedures to include one year of related supervisory, advanced technical, specialized clerical or administrative experience are required. Completion of coursework may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

    Recruitment Notes

    A Court Records Supervisor 2 is a middle management level position who oversees subordinate staff who perform a variety of administrative, judicial support, revenue collection, and public contact duties with the Central Depository Department's Cashier Unit. Assignments require a high degree of thoroughness and accuracy in performing administrative and accounting tasks within established time constraints while adhering to organizational policies, procedures and best practices. The Court Records Supervisor 2 position is responsible for performing related duties as required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Associate's degree Preferred.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • This is supervisory clerical and public contact work with some administrative responsibility in the civil section of the Clerk of the Circuit and County Courts.
    • Supervises the active monitoring and reviews the work/production, training, and cross-training of subordinate clerical staff; distributes and assigns work/reports to subordinate staff processing debits and credits reports from State Attorney's Office.
    • This position is deemed operationally essential, as such the position is subject to availability during critical events as deemed operationally necessary.
    • Develops, proposes, revises, and implements departmental plans, policies, and procedures. Performs other varied high-level administrative duties, as assigned.
    • Balances cashiers' daily collections, enters payment information when needed, enters and verify direct deposit and provides documents to GM for hearings, State Attorney's Office, and other Agencies and other diversified clerical duties.
    • Provides customer service by phone and in person, process reports from State of Florida Disbursement Unit.
    • Attends a variety of meetings with internal and external personnel, to exchange, obtain and update information regarding departmental related functions.
    • Performs various administrative functions associated with Child Support and Alimony enforcement (Title IV-D and non-IV-D)
    • Supervises the active monitoring and review the work/production, training, and cross-training of subordinate clerical staff.
    • Responds to inquiries and requests for information from attorneys, litigants, the court, and the public.
    • May be responsible to the adhere of security protocols and accounting of daily funding stored in the Department's cash safe.
    • Performs other related duties as required.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • Candidates must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
    • Candidates must be able to communicate both verbally and in written formats to various levels within the organization.
    • Candidates must possess good analytical skills.
    • Candidates must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Work is primarily performed in office environment, with extended periods at a computer. Occasional travel may be required to support job fairs and/or external events. May involve light lifting (up to 10 lbs).
