Serves the Court through performance of duties and responsibilities specific to their assignment within the Juvenile Probation Department. Directly supervises and monitors juveniles placed on Probation/Supervision by the Court that promotes public safety to the community. Develops specific case plans to ensure accountability and provide guidance and services which will enhance the physical, mental, moral, and emotional health of the juveniles
Bachelors Degree from a four-year college or university in the area of sociology, psychology, criminal justice or some related course of study. Incumbent should have knowledge concerning the community agencies and available resources. Must be on the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts (AOIC) non-supervisory approved eligibility list. Required to complete Probation Officer Training. Experience with or ability to manage delinquent behavior. Must have a valid driver's license and must not have a criminal record of any kind. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
