C-Packaging Operator I

ROLE SUMMARY

Works in a team environment to manufacture and package transdermal products, usually under the direction of a converting technician.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist technicians on packaging and filling operations.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, clean lines, and handle/dispose hazardous waste into approved waste streams. May stage new waste containers, and close filled containers for transport.
• Comply with all safety, quality, traceability, and compliance requirements including gowning, PPE, waste handling, SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, Serialization, and Manufacturing Order Instructions.
• Locate, pick, and stage raw materials and in-process materials at workstation as needed.
• This is a physical job, which will require use of hearing protection and respiratory protection.
• Follow procedures for labor, downtime, and Tier 1 reporting.
• Take accountability for own training/certification progress.
• Use good judgment, and promptly escalate atypical situations.
• Participates in Tier process and continuous improvement events as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Must have good manual dexterity to perform semi-repetitive tasks.

Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Must be able to read, write legibly, understand and communicate in English, and have a general knowledge of math including metric conversions and percentages.

Must be able to use basic computer systems for data entry.

Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Must be willing to stand for up to 4 hours at a time

Must have HS Diploma or GED

Up to 1-year prior manufacturing experience

Flexibility for shift leveling throughout the year

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

1+ years experience working in an FDA Regulated GMP Environment
