CPR Adjunct Instructor

Pay Rate: $30.35 per hour

Average Hours: 15-20 hours per month

Position Summary

The part-time CPR adjunct instructor role focuses on delivering official AHA life-support courses, including BLS and CPR/First Aid, through hands-on training and skills testing. Candidates will actively teach students, evaluate their competency against certification standards, and manage training equipment to maintain a safe, high-quality learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction: Teach official AHA courses, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED, to groups or individuals; demonstrate correct techniques and procedures on training manikins and AED trainers

• Competency Assessment: Evaluate student knowledge and hands-on performance against course objectives, ensuring mastery of essential skills; submit certification paperwork timely

• Equipment Management: transport, set up, clean, disinfect, and maintain training manikins and supplies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent

• Current CPR/BLS Instructor Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

• Teaching experience in a secondary or post-secondary institution preferred
