Job Summary/Company: We are seeking a dedicated and organized CPS Case Aide to provide critical administrative and field support to support social work staff with a local county government. This is a short-term 1-2 month, high-impact role designed to streamline child welfare operations and ensure families receive timely services. The successful candidate will work closely with Intake and Caseworkers to manage documentation, coordinate appointments, and provide direct support during family assessments. Apply today!


Responsibilities:
  • Social Work Support: Provide comprehensive case management assistance to Social Work staff. This includes accompanying staff on field visits when appropriate and consulting with workers to identify and address specific client needs or barriers to service.

  • Administrative Coordination:

    • Schedule necessary appointments between families and CPS staff.

    • Manage appointment cancellations and rescheduling.

    • Coordinate and distribute formal written communications to families.

  • Information Management: Secure and locate vital documentation to support active casework, including the retrieval of medical, educational, and legal records.

  • Client & Family Interaction:

    • Assist families in the completion of required consent forms.

    • Provide on-site care and supervision for children while their parents/guardians are meeting with Social Workers.

  • Intake Assistance: Support the Intake unit as assigned to ensure new referrals are processed efficiently.

  • Additional tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check.

  • Experience: Prior experience in social services, administrative support, or childcare is preferred.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for coordinating with both professional staff and families in crisis.

  • Adaptability: Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, discretion, and professionalism.

  • Reliability: As this is a 2-month contract, punctuality and consistent attendance are vital to maintain the continuity of care.
