Job Title: C++/Python Developer
12 Months contract position
Montreal, QC

Years of Experience: 3-5

Location: Montreal (day 1 onboarding onsite/ in-office presence required 3x/week)
  • Fixed Income/MBS knowledge
  • Experience with querying and analysing the data using Sybase
  • Familiar with c++
  • Candidate going to work with python
  • KDB is nice to have but not required
  • Need to have good experience in c++ and python
  • Perl nice to have but not mandatory
  • Finance background experience is plus
  • 2 rounds of interview, 2 nd will be onsite,
  • Coding in python


We are looking for highly motivated and dedicated individuals to our MBS (Mortgage Backed Security) technology Risk & Pricing team. We are looking for candidates with good technology background and with Fixed Income risk and pricing knowledge to provide solutions for risk management and regulatory projects.

Responsibilities:

Analyzes Business requirements and create technology requirements by collaborating with different business teams.
Create Technology solutions by collaborating with technology team members.
Deliver end-to-end solution using high quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to trouble shoot issues and provide solutions to the issues.
Willing to learn Financial business and new programming languages.

The candidate should be able to handle the full life-cycle of the project from requirements analysis to final implementation and rollout into production and also have outstanding communication skills.

Skills Required:

Hands on programming experience in C++/Python
Hands on programming experience in Java is nice-to-have
Hands on programming experience in scripting languages
Perl/Shell scripting is required
Experience with querying and analyzing the data using Sybase and MS Excel
Fixed Income/MBS business knowledge is a definite preference.
Hands on programming experience in KDB+/Q/Functional programming is plus.
Quantitative knowledge and skills are a strong plus
Good at AI Assist coding.
