Qualifications:
Reliable, teachable, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to solve problems indepedently. Knowledge of methods and techniques used in the installation, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of electrical motors, pumps and mechanical euqipment.
Ability to make inspections to determine operating conditions and confirm what is needed for repairs to pumping equipment.
Ability to work from blueprints, pencil sketches, or written and oral instructions.
Ability to use a variety of mechanic's tools and shop equipment in the installation, repair and maintenance of pump station equipment.
Knowledge of 240/480 A/C-D/C control systems.
Ability to read for comprehension and Ability to interpret and utilize SCADA system.
Responsibilities:
Install, overhaul, repair, service and maintain equipment such as (but not limited to) pumps, motors, gas & diesel engines, meters, gauges, compressors, blowers, valves, backchecks. Revamps pump stations, maintains 240/480 electrical system control panels. Maintains well motors & A/C-D/C control systems. Works with power tools. Maintains service records. Perform & participate with safe practices of confined space entries. Submits requisitions for equipment and materials, reviews work orders for priority, clarity & completeness. Completes work orders (CMMS) to appropriate personnel. Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Performs other related duties as required.
