Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Some tech schooling preferred
Experience in mechanical troubleshooting and repair
Preferred Skills (not required)
General understanding of 480V 3 phase power sourcing and troubleshooting
Experience with troubleshooting 3 phase motors and VFD control panels
Basic knowledge in 120V relay control circuits and transformers
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic powered systems
Welding experience with a MIG welder
HVAC system experience is a plus

Attend monthly safety meetings with site safety team
Complete Pre Task Planning (PTP) and Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) forms as needed

Assist in tracking all costs and expenditures on WOs
Properly reporting all company expenditures when necessary in Concur software
General Duties
Maintain positive working relationships with all Jacobs staff, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
Learn and be become competent in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) used by Jacobs. Our system is currently Maintenance Connection software by Accruent
Gain a working knowledge of computer systems (i.e. Maintenance Connection, Microsoft Office tools, Other company applications such as: @Work, Ion City, Concur, E3 Learning, etc.
Learning how to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment relating to wastewater treatment
Learned Preventative Maintenance tasks will include:
Lubricating equipment, assessing gear boxes and drives for malfunctions
Taking and recording preventative maintenance measurements
Replacing packing or mechanical seals for various pumps or valves
Learned Corrective Maintenance tasks will include:
Using the SCADA system to identify faults with equipment throughout the plant
Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting on processing equipment, HVAC systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
Rebuilding or replacing motors, pumps, gearboxes, and belt drives
Replacing packing or mechanical seals for various pumps or valves
Clean out pipes and perform other plumbing and pipe fitting tasks as required
Skills that can be gained through training
Light metal fabrication including cutting, grinding, and welding for repairs
Install and set up new or replacement equipment
Maintain clean work environment throughout plant.
Clean up following completion of WO.
General housekeeping.
Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and to prevent recurrences
Observes and reports abnormalities to supervisor.
Communicates effectively at all levels regarding recommended maintenance and repair procedures
Maintain open communication with operations regarding equipment issues.
Gain an understanding of the plant operations and processes.
Foster an environment of teamwork to ensure the team can effectively meet and exceed their goals
Perform other duties as required
