Our client has a major 830 acre port warehouse and land operation and it's expanding rapidly. They're looking for experienced Freight Brokers ready to help take operations to the next level. The foundation is already in place freight is moving, customers are active, and the office has a strong base of business. Now, they're seeking top-performing brokers to help grow, lead, and scale the branch.

What You'll Do

  • Build and manage your book of business through proactive prospecting, cold calling, and long-term customer relationships.
  • Negotiate rates with both shippers and carriers to ensure profitability and exceptional service.
  • Manage shipments cradle to grave quoting, booking, dispatching, tracking, and confirming deliveries.
  • Develop and maintain strong carrier partnerships to ensure reliable capacity and competitive pricing.
  • Proactively monitor loads, resolve issues, and communicate updates with customers and carriers.
  • Collaborate with accounting, operations, and leadership to ensure smooth, successful execution.
  • Maintain accurate load and customer data within the company's TMS.
  • Meet and exceed performance metrics, including load count, margin goals, and customer growth.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and carrier network opportunities.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics sales, or transportation operations (required).
  • Proven success developing new business and managing the full sales cycle.
  • Strong knowledge of truckload markets, pricing, and carrier operations.
  • Familiarity with TMS platforms (McLeod, Mercury Gate, Ascend, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience)
  • Commission: Aggressive, uncapped structure; top performers can earn $150,000-$200,000+ annually
