Craft Instructor

Meador, an Openwork Company, is currently engaged in a search to find a Direct HireCraft Instructor for a company located in the Baytown area (77571). The role is responsible for providing classroom and hands-on instruction aligned with NCCER standards, while creating lesson plans, assessing student performance, and maintaining accurate academic records. The position also supports a safe, engaging learning environment by supervising practical activities, mentoring students, maintaining training facilities and equipment, and assisting with program improvements.

As the Craft Instructor, you will:

• Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction in accordance with NCCER standards and organizational curriculum requirements.
• Develop lesson plans, training materials, laboratory exercises, and practical projects to support student learning.
• Create an engaging, collaborative learning environment that promotes participation and skill development.
• Supervise students during classroom, shop, and laboratory activities while ensuring compliance with safety requirements.
• Proctor quizzes and examinations and assess students’ knowledge, skills, and competency.
• Monitor and document student attendance, academic progress, and overall performance.
• Provide timely feedback, coaching, mentoring, and academic support to help students achieve program and career goals.
• Maintain accurate grades, evaluations, performance profiles, and required reports within established deadlines.
• Maintain classroom, shops, laboratory facilities, equipment, tools, and instructional resources while ensuring compliance with NCCER requirements and organizational policies.
• Assist with training program improvements, learning activities, and special projects while supporting organizational goals and a positive learning culture.

What you’ll need:

• 3+ years of craft experience (Electrical, Carpentry, HVAC, or Pipefitting/Plumbing)
• Instruction or training experience REQUIRED
• NCCER experience REQUIRED

Compensation and Perks:

• $50-60/hr
• Direct hire

Schedule:

• 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
