Summary:
A leading Heavy Equipment Rental and Service company is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Braddock, PA. This company specializes in manufacturing and servicing overhead cranes in manufacturing facilities, logistics centers, airplane hangers, and water treatment plants. The role is primarily responsible for designing box-girder systems in overhead cranes.
Responsibilities:
* Perform mathematical, geometric, and basic engineering calculations.
* Design and develop CAD drawings for box-girder systems in overhead cranes.
* Design and implement automation systems to enhance manufacturing processes.
* Review and refine processes and procedures to improve manufacturing support.
* Ensure project design requirements related to mechanical engineering are met.
* Apply relevant codes and engineering standards in the design and execution of assigned tasks.
* Develop and maintain project timelines.
Qualifications:
* BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
* Must have previous experience designing box-girder cranes OR structural steel (beams, bridges, or large buildings)
* Proficient in SOLIDWORKS, DriveWorks, and/or other design software
