Nucor Steel Kingman, LLC is seeking a Scrap Crane Operator in Kingman, AZ to safely operate a scrap crane to load and track scrap metal while maintaining consistent mix standards and coordinating with the melt shop team. Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Crane Operations & Material Handling: Safely operate the scrap crane to load and track scrap while adhering to consistent scrap mix standards.
- Team Coordination & Support: Work closely with the melt shop team to ensure efficient process flow, cross-training in other department roles, and filling in as needed to support operational goals.
- Safety & Quality Execution: Proactively initiate, lead, and uphold all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards across the facility.

Candidate Qualifications
- Work Schedule & Environmental Capacity: Willingness to work flexible schedules, unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays in high-temperature working conditions.
- Physical & Professional Skills: Ability to lift moderate to heavy weight up to 50 lbs, strong technical background, problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and sound judgment/decision-making.
- Work Ethic & Experience: Strong accountability, initiative, planning/coordination abilities, and teamwork; current or prior experience in a Melt Shop is preferred.
