Team Member Expectations
Crane Operator, Bridge Division
Team member will have sufficient experience as a crane operator, preferably on a bridge construction crew. Team member will preferably be a certified crane operator but must be willing to pursue certification if not.

Knowledge of bridge construction equipment
Eyesight that complies with OSHA requirements for crane operators
Health certificate that complies with OSHA requirements for crane operators
Operate lattice boom, friction cranes
Operate cranes utilizing multiple lines
General ability to operate bridge construction related equipment (backhoe, dozer, loader, etc.)
Core Duties:
Be punctual, dependable and professional at all times
Work with cost effectiveness, profitability and safety in mind
Lead by example
Operate the crane in a safe manner, with the safety of the crew as the number 1 priority
Perform regular inspections of the crane and lines for damage or needed maintenance/repairs
Notify foreman or superintendent of maintenance/repairs needed
Lubricate grease ports on crane and boom on a regular basis and as needed
Keep machine clean and free of debris in the operator and engine compartment
Know where the load capacity chart is in the machine you are responsible for and how to read the charts
Be proficient in pile driving, concrete bucket operation, heavy lifting, clam shell operation
Assist superintendent with planning large lifts
Communicate time away from work with your team leader and other team members with sufficient notice to make plans for changing personnel to focus on the priorities
Willingness to work hours as required
Education/Training/Certification:
Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders regularly. Work involves frequent shoveling, raking, using hand tools and handling materials in and around trenches or uneven terrain. Requires standing or walking for extended periods and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
