Description
What Will You Do?
Shifts available: Standard Days - Mon-Thurs 5:00am-3:30pm (currently working 5:00am-5:00pm), Standard Nights - Mon-Thurs 5:00pm-3:30am (currently working 5:00pm-5:00am), Weekend Shift - Fri-Sun 5:00am-5:00pm
Conduct all necessary inspections on the crane and crane equipment to assure operability and proper operations of all safety devices.
Perform crane operations such as:
Operating Bridge cranes, Gantry cranes and Jib cranes.
Perform or assist with proper rigging of the load to be moved
Move material during assembly operations if needed
Place goods in designated locations
Maintain control of necessary switches to allow for stopping quickly in case of an emergency.
Assure that other personnel working with crane operators fully understand hand signals or similar instructions before starting crane operations.
Operate forklifts and manlifts.
Observe and practice all safety procedures and policies, taking special precautions when moving objects over occupied areas.
May work in other areas as company needs require.
Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. and occasionally heavier (50-60 lbs.) with assistance
Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling
Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of materials
Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions
Exposure to metal cutting, welding odors, welding flash and incidental acceptable limits of x-ray radiation
Possible exposure to chemical odors and temperature extremes
Exposure to overhead objects and occasional flying debris
Required use of safety glasses with side shields, ANSI approved steel-toed safety shoes, hearing protection and hard hat

Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial construction environment
