Crane Operators,

his position is responsible for safely operating cranes and material-handling equipment to lift, move, position, and stage heavy precast concrete products, forms, reinforcement materials, and other production components.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate overhead, bridge, and/or gantry cranes to move heavy materials and precast concrete products.
• Lift, position, and transport precast concrete pieces, forms, molds, rebar cages, steel components, and production materials.
• Follow established load limits, lifting procedures, and crane safety requirements.
• Inspect cranes, hoists, hooks, slings, chains, cables, and other rigging equipment before use.
• Properly attach and secure loads using slings, chains, hooks, spreader bars, and other rigging equipment.
• Determine appropriate lifting points and maintain load balance during movement.
• Follow hand signals and radio communication from riggers, spotters, and production team members.
• Position precast products accurately for production, finishing, storage, and shipment.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical or safety concerns.
• Maintain awareness of personnel, equipment, and obstacles while moving suspended loads.
• Assist with basic rigging and material-handling duties as needed.
