Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking dependable and hardworking Crate Builders / Saw Operators to join a night-shift production team in Tulsa. This position is responsible for building wooden crates, operating saws, using hand tools, and supporting general production activities.
This is a physically demanding position in a non-climate-controlled environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable with heavy lifting, has experience using basic hand tools, and can maintain a consistent work pace throughout an extended shift.
Required Experience & Skills
Comfortable using hand tools and basic production equipment
Ability to safely operate or learn to operate industrial saws
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
Must successfully pass a tape measure test
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the shift
Strong attention to workplace safety
Ability to follow production instructions and established procedures
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work overtime when production demands require
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Build and assemble wooden crates according to production requirements
Measure and prepare lumber and materials for crate construction
Operate saws and related cutting equipment safely and efficiently
Use hand tools to assemble and secure crate components
Verify measurements and completed assemblies for accuracy
Assist with moving and organizing lumber and production materials
Support additional production and general labor activities as assigned
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company safety procedures and equipment operating requirements
Communicate material, equipment, or production concerns to supervisors
Perform additional crate building, saw operation, and production duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous crate building, carpentry, construction, or woodworking experience
Manufacturing or industrial production experience
Previous saw operating experience
Experience using tape measures and hand tools
General labor experience in a physically demanding environment
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn additional production equipment
Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift and handle up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout a 10+ hour shift
Comfortable handling lumber and production materials throughout the workday
Must be physically capable of performing consistent heavy labor
Work Environment
Non-climate-controlled manufacturing and production facility
Regular use of saws, hand tools, lumber, and crate-building materials
Physically demanding environment requiring frequent lifting and repetitive movement
