Location: Sidney, OH Facility (LeRoi - 211 E Russell Rd. Sidney, OH 45365) 
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm)
Pay: Starting rate $20.00 per hour 


Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled employee to perform a variety of tasks related to the crating and preparation of products for shipment. This role ensures all parts are properly fitted, secured, and ready for final shipment. The position requires the ability to perform consistent, high-quality work while maintaining safety and production standards. Assignments may vary based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform repetitive, progressive building of crates to safely ship products in accordance with standard work and shipping requirements.
  • Read, understand, and apply method sheets, assembly diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Identify and report quality defects and unsafe conditions.
  • Follow all applicable safety rules, procedures, and standards.
  • Read and interpret drawings to determine dimensions, design, and materials for crate construction.
  • Operate power tools include pneumatic table saws, band saws, nail guns, and other hand tools.
  • Use measuring devices such as tape measures and levels accurately.
  • Maintain and inspect tools and equipment; submit work orders for repairs as needed.
  • Load and unload materials using conveyors, carts, forklifts, and hoists.
  • Work in a team environment and assist other areas as needed, including suggesting process improvements.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with company procedures and regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain supply inventory (lumber, nails, screws, staples, etc.).
  • Perform general housekeeping of the work area.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or team lead
 
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience safely operating power tools.
 
Core Competencies:
  • Knowledge of and commitment to all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to plan and complete tasks using experience and judgment.
  • Ability to learn and operate equipment including hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices.
  • Ability to identify and resolve routine problems and willingness to learn.
  • Working knowledge of standard work instructions.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools (wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, banding tools).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience with power tools.
  • Basic computer/system knowledge.


Travel & Work Location:
This position is based on site at our Sidney, Ohio facility.
