About the Role:
Florida Mechanical System is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Crawler Crane Operator to join our growing team in Jacksonville, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to operate heavy equipment on dynamic job sites while being part of a company that values craftsmanship and professionalism. Responsibilities:

• Operate crawler cranes safely and efficiently on commercial and industrial job sites
• Perform pre-operation inspections, maintenance checks, and equipment walkarounds
• Execute precise lifts, rigging, and load placement in accordance with lift plans
• Coordinate with riggers, signal persons, and site supervisors to ensure safe operations
• Transport equipment to and from job sites using CDL-required vehicles
• Maintain accurate daily logs, inspection reports, and equipment records
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards, company policies, and site-specific safety protocols

Requirements:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
• Proven experience operating crawler cranes in a commercial or industrial setting
• NCCCO Crawler Crane Operator certification required
• Strong knowledge of rigging, load charts, and lift planning
• Ability to read and interpret site plans and lift drawings
• Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety requirements
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team
