Position Title Creative Arts Therapy Clinical Supervisor Position Number 897201 Position Category School/Division School of Health Sciences Department Full-Time or Part-Time Part-Time Description

To provide clinical supervision to Creative Arts Therapy graduate students who are completing their clinical practicum and/or internship in the CMHP Clinic.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervises Creative Arts Therapy students engaged in their clinical practicum and/or internship in the Counseling and Mental Health Professions Clinic.
  • Observes students running psychoeducational groups on-site at the Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center.
  • Attends bi-monthly supervision meetings with the Counseling and Mental Health Professions Clinic Director.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in creative arts therapy.
  • Current New York State Creative Arts Therapy License.
  • At least 5 years' experience supervising practicum students and interns in creative arts therapy.
  • Experience using Electronic Health Records systems for the purpose of reviewing student clinician's charts, progress notes, and treatment plans.

Preferred Quals Summary

  • Art Therapy Credentialed Supervisor.

Salary/Salary Range $50.00 per hour

Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education. In addition to the salary offered, we offer a collegial and inclusive culture, and a benefits program which includes generous paid time off, paid holidays, tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, and a retirement plan with University contributions.
