Description:
An iconic American apparel brand is looking for an Assistant Designer to join the Women's TSD (Tops, Sweaters, Dresses) team. In this role, you will research global markets to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics/yarns, techniques, product categories, and competitive inspiration. You will assist in developing concepts and sketches for the seasonal product line, create tech packs, and communicate vision behind fit and product design, ensuring execution, quality, and desired margin targets are achieved. You will complete structured assignments like sketch revisions, updated design packages, and filling CADs based on stated priorities. You will juggle multiple seasons while tracking development deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment.

Requirements for the role:
Strong computer knowledge including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of silhouette, fit, fabrication, construction, color use, sewing techniques, and trim
Applied knowledge of garment construction methods to the design process
Ability to research global markets and identify seasonal trends
Experience developing concepts and sketches for seasonal product lines
Experience creating tech packs and communicating vision behind fit and product design
Ability to complete structured assignments like sketch revisions, updated design packages, and filling CADs
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field (preferred)

Or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
