Job Title: Associate Designer Women's Suiting
Location: New York, NY

Description:
An iconic American apparel brand is looking for an Associate Designer to join the Women's Suiting team. In this role, you will research global markets to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, product categories, and competitive inspiration. You will assist in developing concepts and sketches for the seasonal product line and advocate for design ideas by presenting to internal leadership and cross-functional partners. You will partner with Production to create tech packs and communicate vision behind fit and product design, ensuring execution, quality, and desired margin targets are achieved. You will attend fit sessions, make revisions to sketch and design packages, manage administration of the product design process, and juggle multiple seasons while tracking development deadlines.

Requirements for the role:

  • Ability to research global markets and identify seasonal trends

  • Experience developing concepts and sketches for seasonal product lines

  • Ability to partner with Production to create tech packs

  • Experience attending fit sessions and making revisions to sketch and design packages

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field (preferred)

  • 1 3 years of experience in apparel design, with a focus on women's suiting or tailored apparel

  • Or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
