Animal ER of University Park is seeking experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technicians (CVT/LVT/RVT) to join our growing Emergency team in Bradenton, Florida. Compensation

Responsibilities

  • Triage incoming emergency patients using sound clinical judgment.

  • Perform physical assessments and monitor hospitalized patients.

  • Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications while recognizing potential adverse effects.

  • Set up, monitor, and manage intravenous fluid therapy, constant rate infusions, and blood transfusions.

  • Perform advanced technical procedures including venipuncture, catheter placement, ultrasonography assistance, paracentesis, and laboratory sample collection.

  • Collect diagnostic samples and perform in-house laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging.

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care, including urinary catheter management, nasogastric tube placement, oxygen therapy, chest tube management, and advanced patient monitoring.

  • Assist with anesthesia induction, monitoring, recovery, and mechanical ventilation for high-risk patients.

  • Perform advanced vascular access techniques, including jugular, central, arterial, and intraosseous catheter placement.

  • Participate in patient rounds to ensure continuity of care.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with veterinarians and team members.

  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care while supporting clients during emergency situations.

Qualifications

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) required

  • Minimum of 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience, preferably in Emergency Medicine

  • Strong knowledge of emergency patient care, restraint, anesthesia, phlebotomy, laboratory procedures, pharmacology, and diagnostic imaging

  • Experience with emergency triage and critical patient monitoring preferred

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced emergency environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to exceptional patient care

  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus
