We are seeking an experienced Credentialing Coordinator to join a busy healthcare organization. The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the credentialing and privileging process by ensuring provider files are accurate, complete, and compliant with organizational and regulatory standards. The Credentialing Coordinator works closely with providers, leadership, and internal departments to maintain timely credentialing activities and accurate documentation.
This is a full-time, on-site, day shift position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the credentialing and privileging process for healthcare providers
Review applications for completeness and accuracy while maintaining confidential records
Verify provider credentials, licenses, certifications, education, and employment history
Maintain credentialing files and ensure all documentation meets regulatory and organizational requirements
Track expiration dates and renewal requirements to maintain compliance
Communicate with providers and internal departments regarding credentialing status and required documentation
Utilize Microsoft Office applications to maintain records, reports, and correspondence
Interpret and follow detailed written and verbal instructions while managing multiple priorities
Assist with audits and other credentialing-related administrative functions as assigned
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree
Minimum of 3 years of credentialing and/or privileging experience in a healthcare or medical setting
Understanding of medical terminology
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written and oral instructions
Flu vaccination required by October 15, 2026 (no exceptions or declinations)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Previous clinical experience as a CNA, Medical Assistant, or LVN
