Credentialing Coordinator
Job Location: Petaluma, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $25.29-$26.84
Schedule: Monday - Thursday; 8am-5pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Credentialing Coordinator? You'll be responsible for coordinating practitioner credentialing, recredentialing, enrollment, and maintaining accurate credentialing records while ensuring compliance with organizational, payer, and regulatory requirements. Our client is looking for someone with previous healthcare credentialing experience. This will be 100% remote. Covering for about 6 months due to a maternity leave.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate practitioner credentialing, recredentialing, and enrollment processes.
- Maintain complete and accurate credentialing files and databases.
- Verify licenses, certifications, education, work history, malpractice coverage, and other required documentation.
- Monitor expiration dates and follow up on renewals.
- Prepare and submit applications to health plans and regulatory agencies.
- Communicate with practitioners, payers, and internal departments to resolve credentialing issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with applicable standards and policies.
- Assist with audits and prepare credentialing reports as requested.
- Perform other related administrative duties as assigned.
Description of Company:

Experience Required:
- Experience in FQHC or hospital credentialing
- Experience working accurately under time pressures and working with and communicating across a diverse team and organization
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets. HR systems and database systems. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
