Job Overview

Sigma Inc is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator (Senior) to join our team in Irving, TX. This role is critical in ensuring healthcare providers meet all credentialing, compliance, and regulatory standards.

You will act as a liaison between medical staff and administration, overseeing the full credentialing lifecycle including verification, compliance, privileging, and regulatory coordination.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end provider credentialing and privileging processes

  • Verify education, training, licensure, certifications, and clinical experience

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, regulatory agencies, and accrediting bodies

  • Serve as a liaison between medical staff, administration, and regulators

  • Maintain accurate credentialing records and databases

  • Track licenses, certifications, expirations, and staff eligibility

  • Prepare and coordinate credentialing committee meetings and documentation

  • Record meeting minutes and ensure proper documentation

  • Assist with bylaws enforcement, policy updates, and compliance audits

  • Support due process hearings, appeals, and credentialing reviews

  • Lead or contribute to strategic credentialing projects

  • Mentor and cross-train team members as needed


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 3+ years of credentialing experience in a healthcare setting

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Provider credentialing & privileging

    • Regulatory compliance & accreditation standards

    • HIPAA guidelines and PHI protection

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) or

  • CMSC (Certified Medical Staff Coordinator) certification

  • Experience working in hospitals, clinics, or healthcare systems

  • Leadership or mentoring experience in credentialing teams
