We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Credentialing Specialist who will also provide administrative support to our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have credentialing/insurance enrollment experience within a healthcare setting and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This role plays a key part in ensuring providers are properly credentialed, enrolled, and maintained with payers, outpatient facilities and hospital privileges, while also supporting daily administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credentialing & Provider Enrollment (Primary Focus)
  • Manage full-cycle credentialing and re-credentialing for physicians and APP providers
  • Submit and track payer enrollments (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid)
  • Maintain and attest CAQH profiles
  • Oversee PECOS and NPPES updates
  • Monitor expirations for licenses, DEA registrations, board certifications, malpractice insurance, and other compliance documents
  • Maintain credentialing database and provider files (electronic and physical)
  • Coordinate hospital privileging applications and reappointments
  • Communicate directly with payers regarding application status and issue resolution
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Generate credentialing reports for leadership as requested
  • Provide credentialing support services to external customers/clients, assisting with their provider enrollment, re-credentialing, and compliance needs as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Administrative Support Duties

  • Provide general administrative support to leadership and clinical staff
  • Assist with document preparation, correspondence, and internal communications
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
  • Schedule meetings and assist with coordination of internal projects
  • Support HR and onboarding processes as needed
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
