Credentialing Specialist

Location: New York, NY
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: 35 Hours/Week | 5 Days/Week | Onsite

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Credentialing Specialist to support provider credentialing and privileging activities within a healthcare setting. This position is fully onsite and involves managing the credentialing lifecycle for physicians, allied health professionals, and other healthcare providers while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage initial credentialing, recredentialing, and privileging processes for healthcare providers.
  • Conduct credential audits and verify provider qualifications.
  • Utilize credentialing software to track and maintain provider records.
  • Perform background checks and primary source verifications.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of credentialing databases.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Review and interpret credentialing requirements and bylaws.
  • Coordinate with providers, medical staff offices, and leadership regarding credentialing matters.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of credentialing documentation.
  • Support ongoing credentialing projects and audits.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous healthcare credentialing experience required.
  • Experience with provider credentialing, recredentialing, and privileging.
  • Audit experience required.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Experience with credentialing software systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • English proficiency required.
  • Must be able to work onsite.
