Competitive wages Excellent benefits Modern Healthcares Best Places to Work - since 2012 Details: Full-time, 40 hours per week Previous medical office experience preferred JOB SUMMARY: The Credentialing Specialist provides administrative, credentialing, governance, compliance, and operational support for physician practice operations and strategic organizational initiatives. This position assists the PPM Primary Care and Internal Medicine Executive Director with the implementation and ongoing administration of a large healthcare project by coordinating credentialing activities, maintaining regulatory documentation, supporting board and committee functions, and organizing operational processes. Responsibilities include provider credentialing and personnel file management, policy and document control, regulatory compliance tracking, quality improvement support, meeting coordination, operational site visit preparation, record retention, and a variety of administrative and special projects. The Credentialing Specialist, under the direction of the Executive Director, serves as a central resource for maintaining organized, accurate, and audit ready documentation while supporting compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Some college preferred Ability to get along with other personnel and the general public. Previous medical office experience or background in general office work preferred. Ability to receive, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions. Strong organizational skills required. Effective use of written and oral communication and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to type 50 wpm and proficient in the use of information technology Proficient use of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and email. Familiarity with audio/visual equipment preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections. Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials. Able to distinguish colors. Able to discriminate minute details. Able to communicate (written and oral) in English Able to bend, stretch and reach as necessary.
