A financial services organization is seeking a credit risk professional to support transaction underwriting, credit approval, and ongoing portfolio oversight. The role will partner closely with Front Office and Relationship Management teams to evaluate new transactions, prepare credit assessments, and present recommendations to senior credit leadership. Candidates should have hands-on credit risk experience and the ability to identify, assess, and escalate risk throughout the credit lifecycle.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and analyze credit proposals submitted by Front Office teams.
Conduct due diligence and independently assess transaction risks.
Prepare credit assessments, including adjudication recommendations, financial projections, and stress testing.
Present and defend credit recommendations to the Credit Approval Committee.
Confirm required conditions are satisfied before closing or funding.
Review credit system records, covenant compliance, and related documentation.
Review legal documentation with emphasis on credit terms, covenants, collateral, amortization, interest rates, and other key provisions.
Support interim and annual post-disbursement credit reviews in partnership with Relationship Management.
Respond to audit, loan review, and regulatory requests.
Support portfolio analysis, credit MIS, reporting, policies, procedures, and training initiatives.
Identify, manage, and escalate credit and other risk issues in accordance with established controls.
